Meetings Location & Map

The Conference Room Gallery is a journey not only for the artist but the viewer and patron as well.  It is that a person will experience uncountable images either real or conjured and how each individual reacts to their given situation.  As do artists, people grow.  It's simple and as you grow you also either expand your view or contract your view and with that you are able to decide for yourself as to what is aesthetically pleasing, moves you or allows you to once again react to the given situation.

It's with our consciousness and our decisions that build our foundation for appreciating art or anything else that matters to someone.

Our goal is to strip down stereotypes, breaking them down to real reasons.  We don't care if the artist is self-taught or they have a phd.  We only care about what and how the artists choose to present themselves to the world.  It is their responsibility as well as the appreciator to be able to communicate without prejudice.

Originally The Conference Room was created out of reaction for the curatorial practices of the status quo institutions and academic elitists that close doors to artists because of lack of resumes, lack of formal education, the need to pigeon hole styles, and the must be classified or general consensus to say it is good before they procure the financial backing to put an artist on the walls, floors or ceilings.

The idea of the conference room is to create a less audible didactic environment where the art does the talking and the viewer can create their own interpretation of what the work is trying to say while at the same time elevating emerging and mid-career artists towards a common goal of all visual mediums.

HISTORY:

It began in a 2/F office in Beverly Hills, never used conference room for anything other than storage when Daniel came up with the idea to convert it into a small gallery to showcase to his business clients and staff.  It wasn't three weeks after beginning the conversion that he overtook the entire floor for use to exhibit art.  His idea was to bring the artists to the hoity toity community, giving them zero excuses as to location or zip-code.  Status free & Status high.

During the summer of '08, Daniel rethought his overall mission of reacting and confrontation into more true and creative surroundings and less about location, attitude, 2/f, ground floor etc... and more about exposure to the community as a whole.

After visiting The Conference Room we hope that in some way we may have enlightened you and planted a seed of inspiration.

Thank you

Daniel/The Conference Room
